ahhhh finding the christmas spirit in september is not as hard as you may think...
yep...the shops are full of all things halloween....
&
ORANGE...
but with a trio of enthusiastic helpers & a 12 year old take on a few *Bing* christmas classics...
we got it done...

for me, wrapping is one of the delights of the holiday season...
{errr...yep even if this year my season began in september!}
&
i did manage to savour the *moment* a little...
i had the singing...the glass of wine...the 5 year old sticky tape chaos...

my husband remarked on how much *effort* i still put into each gift...
& i looked astounded at his comments as i do every september whilst wrapping gifts christmas...

if you can't put the effort into christmas...well you won't be at our big ol'country table with a bubbles in hand...
here are our ready-to-haul-to-the-post-office-pressies & a few little tag stamping moments to get you enthusiastic 3 months ahead of schedule as the happy holiday period approaches...

we used the most gorgeous christmas stamp from cox & cox & bulk industrial gift tags tied with french cotton ribbon from a family-run local store stringers.
it's messy...fun & industrious....

...& it's done...& there was a definate *early* christmas spirit to it all...

...i thought i'd also show you the lovely *typeset butterfly bunting* that hangs above our big ol'table..
...i've seen this sort of thing on a few creatively inspiring blogs as birthday decorations...
&
...as the new school year started we thought we'd make some of our own...

...we drew a butterfly pattern about 8cms in size & traced it onto some newspaper...
...cut them out...
&
...strung them on white cotton...
...simple & lovely...

...i adore typeset...
&
...bunting...so this makes me smile...

...happy creating & happy christmas september!...
