g'morning...
today i was intending to start sharing some projects that i have had on the go for a few days with you all...
but australia is still flooding in two states...& they are preparing themselves for more rain...
so for me...it just doesn't feel appropriate today...
when i read what other bloggers...whom i admire unconditionally are doing...
it just makes me want to weep with pride...

australians have a world-renowned positive attitude, even in the face of total devestation...
& the many videos & news reports that i scroll through daily from home, secure that belief...
it seems that the very big...very dispersed population of our country is working as a single minded community...
& i for one, so very far away from our country, am incredibly proud of that...

bloggers have been sharing stories of their support & raising much needed funds by way of their crafts & shops...i admire all for their strength & compassion towards their fellow australians...

today...i'd like you take a moment to visit *Simone* from *Beach Vintage*...
a brisbane girl herself...with a wonderful shop to accompany her blog in the suburbs of brisbane...
Simone & her girlfriend Jody have set upon helping others in their community with an immediate answer to their daily needs...

each morning after preparing & making basket loads of sandwiches...
stocking up on bottled water & energy bars...
the two girls spend the remainder of their day delivering the goods to devastated pockets of brisbane...
recording their personal responses to the crisis via her blog, it is an emotional account, first hand, of assisting others in their community...

she & Jody are angels amongst the chaos for many families in brisbane this week...
life can be put into perspective in a moment...
Simone will help you do that...

these images of calm from my kitchen
are a stark reminder of what many australian
families have lost
homes, loved ones, their own space...
please visit Simone & give where you can
thank you
