morning all...
welcome to a virtual coffee...
i'm having mine with a little gal, covered in a random rash attached to my arm...
we've been like this for a couple of days now...
attached...& bless her little *itchy* thing she has been lovely...
so coffee this week sweet friends is going no further than our couch with lots of talk of the gorgeous cake-plate stand we created this week...
purely as Audrey & i hope to inspire you to make one...

this is so easy...& so simple...& makes you feel you've achieved soooo much from nothing...
which is what you need when you have a little one attached to your arm 24/7...
that's all got to inspire you...surely...
see that bottom plate...?
well that is, to date, the most loved plate i have found in ol'blighty...
larger than a side plate but smaller than a dinner plate...
{yep if you know the name of this email me...please}
gorgeously blue & white...
the edging detail is lovely...
but i have never found another...
so it was the perfect plate to feature as the first layer of our cake stand...

the other two are also lovely...both thrifted from boot-sales for about 50pence a piece...
so *that size* plate first...
a side plate next...
& a tea cup saucer for the top...
if you are anything like me...i cannot leave a lone saucer at a flea market or car boot sale...
i use them for cup cakes constantly...
slices of cake...
muffins...
they are the perfect size...
& if you stick to a colour scheme they look gorgeous across a table...
this is my blue & white pile...errrr...i also have a pink floral set...& ummmm green & white...
between you & me, since we are having a coffee & sharing...
i know think i may have an addiction...

anyhoo...
between the plates i have teacups...
both thrift finds that set me back a pound each...
again, both different, which is lovelier...
plonked upside down & glued on...
too easy...really you can glue china together...
this is where my patience is tried...& where Audrey & i snuggled on the couch to watch some good old fashioned tele...
i love re-hashed old films for kids...
especially when the poor little kiddo is rashy & itching...

would you like another coffee to take all this china talk in...?
or a water with Audrey...?
this is about all we can manage together, Audrey & i...
sticking china & watching movies....& scratching...
we're not our usual *here's the pink chair, can we wait on you all morning* selves today...
you'll have to go back here to be looked after like that...

thanks for taking my mind of a poor sick kiddo for a moment
&
thanks for taking little Audrey's mind off scratching for a moment
let us know what you think of our thrifty lovely cake plate stand
or
give us a good home-made remedy for itchy skin

&
welcome to all you new followers
